Schlunke (1906-60), lived most of his life on the family sheep and wheat property Rosenthal, near Reefton. Schlunke's ancestors were among the group of German Lutheran. He wrote about his work and spoke on the Australian Broadcasting Commission's radio series the Land and its People."
